Government Entities

Away from the controversy generated around the project of creation of the joint entity, Jose Maria Diaz Bancalari official Deputy criticized the current grain marketing system highlighting the need to improve it at the same time: surely will have to find some method to correct it. Bancalari acknowledged the existence of several projects in this regard: there are many projects. But what you are looking for is transparency for the trade of grains and that resources go to the destinations that have to go. The creation of this joint body, is intended to show as a positive development mainly for the small producer. But others are the needs of the agricultural sector and it is therefore have again expressed their disconformismo with the different proposals brought by the Government. Since the agricultural sector claimed the Government tax rebates and other benefits (including major credit facilities), to alleviate the effects of a severe drought and low current prices of grains on the international market. It is true that the way in which the initiative is raised, it appears attractive.

However, representatives of the field are fearful about unwanted derivations of this project. Basically there are fears that the new entity is used to divide the sector and increase pressures on it. Division of the sector might come from a possible support to the initiative by entities representing small producers. In the Argentine Government was attempted on previous occasions cause a division in the sector. Remembered were the attempts of the Secretary of domestic trade, Guillermo Moreno of directly assisting producers in trouble to separate them from the agricultural entities that grouped them.

Multiple attempts to divide the entities representatives of the field made the project to be taken as a new threat to the sector. But this project not only keeps worried producers local. International markets will also follow closely what is happening in Argentina.
