Active Holidays: HeuART Solid Lammertal
Were the world’s largest Hay figures move inspired needed for the Festival every year 7 tonnes of hay and 30,000 working hours thousands of visitors from all over Europe. The HeuArt Festival 2008 takes place from 30 to 31 August 2008 in Lungotz. The lammertal show creative and resourceful in dealing with hay. Already are veritable works of art in all sheds and barns in the Lammer Valley. The motivation of the artists of the Hay is big night after night is welded, timbered, bound and wrapped. The life-size and oversized figures are always original, sophisticated and technically functional. At the grand finale, the Hay figure moving on August 31, from 11:00, the Hay artworks on magnificently decorated wagons, pull pulled Noriker – and Haflinger horses or vintage tractors, accompanied by rolling and gyration through the village. The idea of “HeuArt” with the aim to enrich the Salzburg harvest festival with an event was 8 years ago.
Today 8 years later – the HeuArt Festival is a highlight of Salzburg Harvest and impossible to imagine from the region. Since then, about 7 tons of hay and 30,000 working hours were invested in HeuArt – and it was worth it! The visitor numbers speak for themselves. The event is known far beyond the borders of Austria and Salzburg and has impressed so far around 50,000 visitors from all over Europe.
