Midnight Training
Kreuzberger nights are long McFit has opened 24 hours, 365 days a year. Thus, the gym chain stands out from most of its competitors and certainly attracts the occasional night owl. But believed to be a friend of mine, then these hours do not apply long for everyone. Because her small, cute, blonde Angel curls told me recently that she no longer could dare as a woman after 10: 00 in the McFit. She had already been a few times late night and everytime again fled. Sucking before the penetrating Endzwanzigern that build up before their stepper and they fully up, before the constant questioning of their phone number and from the penetrating eyes. She’s exaggerating? Time for a self test.
I don’t have blonde Angel curls, and demographically seen I belong rather to the penetrating Endzwanzigern as to their preferred target group. But watch I can quite well. So off to the McFit. I chose me for my environment study branch in Berlin-Kreuzberg (Heinrich-Heine-Strasse). As I get there late, one thing strikes me first: the void.
I know the most McFit stores only full of people, but at night they are as depopulated. Only a few men sitting on the training area strewn with equipment or swing the dumbbells to shoulder height with as much hip set in the free weight area. Biceps call them that I call these guys jumping jacks. A young man checked his hair in the mirror. So, you doing later in the disco? Before a shower to remember is my fatherly advice, I keep to myself but. Another train on the flat bench and RAPs the lyrics in the set breaks with the him his iPod in the ears pumps. Actually all not unusual. I feel comfortable here. Certainly more exotic hanging himself at McFit than elsewhere, but the training experience including not really suffers.
